Komodo is the largest species of the Varanidae family, as well as the largest lizard in the world, with an average length of 2-3 meters and a weight of up to 100 kg. Komodo is the top predator in its habitat because so far there are no other large carnivorous animals known besides this monitor lizard in any of its geographic areas.
